Hoi An

We spent 5 or so days hanging out in Hoi An – a gorgeous city half half way down the Vietnam coast. Hoi An Ancient Quarter is set up for tourism, full of shops, restaurants, and tailors (So. Many. Tailors) but is still really enjoyable despite all the touts and tour groups. At night the town comes alive with lanterns lighting up the city and the river dotted with candles floating in the current.

We spent a lot of time in tailor shops having shirts, dresses, pants and jackets made. All worked out *relatively* well, though there was a bit of drama with one tailor over a few bits and pieces – though I guess that’s par for the course.

Other than that we chilled – beers, nighttime food markets, boat rides and bikes. All good fun. We’re now in Ho Chi Minh for a few days before taking off to the Philippines, our LAST destination before we head home. Holy crap / wahoo!

P.s- check out how handsome my boyfriend is!
